While we’re only a stepping stone for many of the horses that come through our barn, these guys are here to stay:
JOKER
A 10 year old Percheron gelding. We purchased him as a six year old stallion after the death of his owner. Joker has chips in his left hock.Eventually, when the funds are raised, he’ll have surgery but will still remain with us afterwards to make sure he continues to get the care he needs.
SAVANNAH
She’s a 19 year old Clydesdale mare, foaled in 2004.
PEARL
Pearl is a Belgium/Standardbred cross mare. She had a tough life as an Amish plow mare, and it showed, and needed a soft place to land after being bounced around for a bit. Based on her assessment we’re guessing that she’s around 21-22 years old as of 2023.
GRIT
A nine year old Quarter horse gelding. He’s navicular in both fronts; he has scar tissue on his left front deep digital flexor tendon. Grit is part of a test program with Petvivo.com for the Spryng with OsteoCushion technology injection for his navicular. Both of the bursa’s are injected.
