We are Wild Sunflower.

  • Wild Sunflower Equestrian Center and Sanctuary hopes to raise money with your help through donations and sponsorships so together we can build a sanctuary for draft and senior horses, a rehabilitation center for horses in need, and help rescue organizations with lack of space or funding. We also plan to offer assistance to people that may be in a hardship and unable to care for their equine pets.

We currently have three horses participating in a trial with Spryng - Osteo Cushion Technology after receiving grant approval from Petvivo, Inc. This is my personal passion and why I created Wild Sunflower Equestrian Center and Sanctuary.

  • It’s time! Time to build a permanent facility to help more horses who need us. Wild Sunflower Equestrian Center and Sanctuary is currently leasing 88 acres with a barn and 10 acres of pasture, which is mostly wooded and very rough.

We are looking to purchase a farm or parcel of land that is better suited to our needs that the horses can call their permanent home. With your help, this is what the future holds for these horses.

And rest assured, this facility will be put in a trust with the right people in place and will always be a sanctuary and wellness farm.

  • By 2025, Wild Sunflower Equestrian Center and Sanctuary will include boarding space for 10 horses with a bunkhouse, indoor/outdoor arenas and trails to ride. A sanctuary for retired senior horses and a rehabilitation foster farm where we will take the most difficult cases from rescues in the United States.

We will add the Eagala Therapy Program, (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association), which is non-riding therapy that would include the retired senior horses, hold monthly clinics, lessons, on-farm-leasing programs, and to have a more extensive therapy program with Spryng - Osteo Cushion Technology.

Cynthia Broth

Founder of the Wild Sunflower Equestrian Center and Sanctuary, a 501c3 nonprofit corporation.

Horses have always been in our family and a part of my life. In my mid-teens my family started breeding and racing Thoroughbreds, as well as rehabilitating race horse layups. These are horses off the track with injuries or in need of after surgery care that came to our farm for healing; pasture care, bandage changing, giving medications, hand walking, and whatever else they needed. Caring for these horses was my main job for several years and this is where my love for fixing and healing horses began and why my passion is what it is today.

I have assisted a number of veterinarians who were equine lameness specialists, increasing my knowledge. I have personally and successfully rehabilitated 100 plus horses with my own money over the past 25 years.

But it’s time to do this in a larger, permanent facility. This is my passion and my plan for the rest of my life. Most of all I want to give these horses love, care and a home.
